You see that picture? Doesn’t look very impressive, but do you see that little bit of light on the horizon? That’s the sun! After nearly five months of darkness, today was the first day we could actually detect the fact that we’re on our way back to the daytime. I didn’t take this picture, but I’m working on figuring a way to be able to take similar ones with my digital camera. Everything I tried today came out way dark, but then I found I had it set to use ISO 80 instead of something much more light sensitive. By the time I figured it out the glow had disappeared behind some clouds, but I’ll be trying again later today if the weather cooperates.

I think that I would shrivel up and totally lose my mind if I went that long without sunshine.
Your jedi powers must be fierce.
Drop me an email and let me know what it is like up there. We didn’t get to talk much the last time I saw you.
huggles and all that.

On-Reeeeeee,
Hi! I’ve been reading your articles from the winter and have enjoyed them. Ah, but it brings me back… Glad to hear you are doing well (yes?) and that the sun has decided to swing ’round your way for at least one more year.
Take good care and drop a line when you have a moment.
Big hugs,
Judy Spanberger
